Stat of the day: Stadiums

71% of NFL stadiums have been built in the last two decades (22 of 31). And plenty of others have had serious facelifts since then (Soldier Field, Lambeau Field, Arrowhead, the Superdome just off the top of my head.

Most of these beasties were build in the economic heyday of the tech bubble - literally half the stadiums in the league were build 1995-2003 (an average of two a year).

And impressive 61% (19 fields) still play on grass. That is better than I would have guessed - this issue has really fallen on the back burner as astroturf has improved.

And yes the 'Stick is the 3rd oldest - although right in the middle in terms of capacity.
